Capital Campaign

As was stated throughout the campaign leading up to the August 2017 election, library funding works best when it is a joint public-private undertaking. Thanks to voters in Christian County, the levied rate that funds the Christian County Library was returned to $0.20 per $100 assessed value by a greater than 2-to-1 result.

The public has spoken and done their part to increase library funding in order to establish new libraries in Nixa, Sparta, and Clever, as well as renovate the existing branch in Ozark. Now, we turn to private donors for help in making these expansion and improvement plans a reality sooner rather than later.

To that end, the Christian County Library Foundation is kicking off our capital campaign in late 2017/early 2018. Giving opportunities exist at a variety of levels, as detailed below:

$400,000 Donation (4 currently available)
For a gift of $400,000, donors may name the library branch of their choice, on a first come basis.
Library branches currently available for naming are the branches in Ozark, Nixa, Sparta, and Clever.

$100,000 Donation (4 currently available)
For a gift of $100,000, donors may name the community room in the library branch of their choice, on a first come basis.
Library rooms currently available for naming are the Nixa branch community resource room, the Nixa branch children's storytime reading room, the Sparta branch community resource room, and the Clever branch community resource room.

$50,000 Donation (current availability upon discussion)
For a gift of $50,000, donors may name a section of the library branch of their choice, on a first come basis. Examples include but are not limited to children's area, teen area, adult fiction area, periodicals area, circulation desk, computer and technology terminal space, and so on.
If there is a particular area you are interested in naming in a specific branch, please contact Foundation Vice President Joey Mills at joey.lynn.mills@gmail.com to discuss naming opportunities.

$10,000 Donation (3 currently available)
For a gift of $10,000, donors may name the donor tree at the library branch of their choice, on a first come basis.
Donor trees currently available for naming include those at the Ozark, Sparta, and Clever branches.

Donor Tree Leaves (multiple availabilities)
Donors may make gifts at a number of levels in order to have a leaf engraved with their name(s) on the donor tree at the library branch of their choice. Specific variance at the differing levels (be it size of the leaf, height on the donor tree, or some other factor) to be determined. The giving levels are set at:

Tier One: $30 per month over 36 months, for a total of $1,080 over the term of the commitment
Tier Two: $500 one-time donation
Tier Three: $250 one-time donation

For more information regarding the different tiers or to arrange a donation, please contact Foundation Vice President Joey Mills at joey.lynn.mills@gmail.com to discuss the options available to you.

Thank you for considering a gift to the Christian County Library Foundation!
